Dominique Baez is a lifelong Democrat and lifelong Hamden resident, now raising her family here. As President of the Hamden Legislative Council, she has worked to bring Democratic values of fairness, accessibility, and opportunity into local government.

​

On the Council, Dominique has led efforts to expand transparency and public access, beautify our town, and secure critical investments. From grant-funded façade improvement programs that support local businesses, to legislation requiring workforce inclusion on incentivized Hamden projects, to youth programming that invests in Hamden’s next generation.

​

Many of these initiatives are still moving through the administrative process, and Dominique is committed to carrying them forward, so residents see the full benefit: a stronger local economy, schools that reflect our community’s values, environmentally sustainable planning, and a more accountable government that delivers results.

As a leader on Row A, she believes Hamden’s future depends on both fiscal responsibility and deliberate investment in our neighborhoods. A leader meeting residents where they are, and making sure every family feels supported and heard.
