Ted is a third-generation Hamden resident and two-term Councilor who will use his experience on the Council and nearly two decades of experience in the field of city planning to advocate for vibrant and safe mixed-use neighborhoods. As a parent of two children at Bear Path School, Ted supports fully funding our schools and ensuring that all children across town have equal access to community resources, regardless of income or neighborhood. Ted understands that Hamden's high mill rate places an undue burden on household expenses, and in the past fiscal year he worked with fellow Legislative Council members to maintain services while finding more than $18 million in taxpayer savings. He will continue to look for additional taxpayer relief by limiting new expenditures, promoting ways to expand the tax base, and finding additional sources of revenue, including state and federal grants. Ted is committed to continue being accessible to residents in his district through open and clear communication.
